#5 Mooneys pond - morrell
Starting the list with a little out of the box location. When you think of PEI you think of the beautiful sandy beaches but we have so many gorgeous trails and green spaces as well! Mooneys Pond is a well maintained watershed group leading off the Confederation Trail just 30 minutes from Charlottetown. It is partly wheelchair accessible as well and offers some of the most beautiful fall colour foliage in the Autumn.
# 4 THUNDERCOVE - DARNLEY
Home to the tourist attraction and deeply missed "Tea Cup Rock" This beach offers beautiful distinct red rock formations. While the Tea Cup might be gone there is still so much to discover here at Thundercove! It has a fine white sand beach, distinct red cliffs even a little bit of green space. It is a must see for visitors and locals alike, feeling like the not so hidden gem of PEI it makes for an absolutely breath taking session.
# 3 Fort Amherst - rocky point
Skmaqn–Port-la-Joye–Fort Amherst is a National Historic Site located just 30 minutes from Charlottetown. With extensive history on this land it now serves as a popular location to visit to visitors and locals. It offers a visitors site as well as a large parking lot and many well groomed trails. The view overlooks the harbour and on a summer evening you can admire the many sailboats that are out. a truly magical location to visit as well as be the backdrop to your photography session.
# 2 Mackenzies brook
You will find this location just a few minutes off the path from Cavendish along the Ocean View drive. it is the perfect scenic route when visiting PEI as it offers intense views without as many crowds as Cavendish National Park just moments away. Mackenzies Brook has a sandy beach as well as a small cliff side perfect for an engagement session.
# 1 cape tryon
no PEI list would be complete without a mention of Cape Tryon. Located 50 minutes from Charlottetown it is WORTH the drive. Some of the most stunning cliffside you can find in Prince Edward Island. There is beach access not far but the cliffs offer an indescribable view and way to admire the vast Atlantic Ocean. This location even offers greenspace and a light house!
