If you ever wanted to feel like time hit the brakes, in the best possible way, Cape Tryon located here in Prince Edward Island, is that place.


Tucked along PEIs north shore, Cape Tryon isn't flashy. It doesn't try to impress you with crowds, souvenir shops or big ticket attractions. Instead it wins you over quietly with red cliffs that glow in the evening light, rolling green fields that seem to meet the sea and a kind of calm that sinks into your bones.

Cape Tryon's coastline is classic PEI with rust coloured sandstone cliffs softened by grass and wildflowers. On a clear day the water shifts between slate blue and turquoise, depending on the mood of the sky. Walk along the shore and you'll hear nothing but waves, wind and the occasional call of seabirds.


This is the kind of place where you stop checking your phone. Not because there's no signal but because you genuinely forgot about it.


One of Cape Tryon's biggest charms is how uncrowded is feels. Even in the warmer months the beaches tend to be peaceful, perfect for long walks, perfect for beachcombing or sitting and enjoying a book.
